TaeKwon WHOA!

The big thing that happened today is that Frankie went to his first TaeKwon Do class! He LOVED it and plans to go often. Check it out.

"Snarl!! You gotta snarl!!"
We saw too much Karate Kid when we were young...

What computer crash?

Well - one big computer crash later - and we're back online! Everyone is still up to the usual - Mondays and Tuesdays are busiest days lately. Wednesday Mass didn't happen until 7:00 p.m., and then on the way home we happened to drive by the BBQ place. A few minutes later, we had a big bag of take-out BBQ from Ruby's BBQ near UT and we headed home!!
Rafa and Gab got new shades since it's so sunny out these days.

Here, Gabriela is just luvin' on her baby sister.

And in case I haven't mentioned it - Frankie once again wins the prize for the baby's first word. Press the Play arrow below and you can hear Micaela articulate her prize winning word - Dadda!!

So many horses in our house

Yesterday (Sunday), Geneva and I went horseback riding. She's had such a busy time lately - she's definitely earned it! She even got to help some Girlscouts earn their badges!

Something new for us

If you can't see the pictures below, just go to http://casacandelaria.blogspot.com

Yesterday (Saturday) we went to the Mela Fair at the Indian Hindu temple near the Salt Lick. It was pretty cool. They had lots of music, animals, GOOD FOOD and other vendors and such. It was pretty neat. So, after Gabriela finished feeding Micaela her breakfast - we headed over there.

The kids had a great time at the petting zoo and taking a carriage ride. We also enjoyed the food... Yummy. It was a really beautiful place.

Later, Geneva and I went to the Vigil Mass - Geneva was an altar server. Later, we stayed up too late. I'll fill you in later!

The Second Thing

The second thing I'm going to do is take more pictures. I LOVE taking pictures, but then I get busy and don't download them. My bad.

So along those lines, here is what we've been up to:

Geneva has officially been in two school musicals! Yesterday was the Peter Pan performance and (as you may be able to tell) Geneva was Tinkerbell. Tinkerbell's character is VERY sassy - Geneva was PERFECT!! :o)

Here she and the others are "flying!"

Rafa, Gabriela and Micaela are also up to their regular tricks.

Like taking quick notice of a hose watering our new trees in the backyard.

And getting very muddy...

But they're otherwise being the silly kids they usually are!

Also, I'm still figuring out these posts... If you don't want to wait for an email from this site, or if you can't see the pictures I've posted, you can always just check in by going to this site:
I'll let you know what happens today!

Where do I start?

On Monday, a person I know died. She wasn't old (at least in my 39 year-old eyes), but she had a long life. She was in her later 60's. At first, all I could think was, "I can't believe that's it." That's it - her life on earth is over.

I've known and known of many people who have died. This is nothing new. Young people, old people; famous and sometimes only famous to me. But for some reason, something about this got to me in a different way. That was IT...

What am I doing with it?

I started to think of people who spend their lives unhappy in one way or another. Maybe they aren't happy with their jobs, their personal lives, their relationships. Maybe they complain too much, compete too much, or spend too much, and they still can't find what they're looking for. What if they never do? At the last second of their life on earth, will they wish they had done it differently? I don't know...but I'm not gonna. God willing.

First thing on my list

I consider myself a happy and blessed person. I love God & my family so much it hurts. I have PLENTY to do, but even more that I want to do - like share our nutty family more with the rest of our family. We're always on the run, but certainly I can spare a few minutes at the end of the day to let everyone know what's going on! That's the first thing. So here we go...
